WALT: read and respond to text

I read a story today about New Zealand planning to get a new flag. New Zealand is more in common with the Pacific than the United Kingdom. John Key is planning to have a black flag with a white silver fern on the flag. I think that changing the flag will be a good thing because the flag will explain a little bit more than the current flag because it has a small version of the United Kingdom's flag.
