WALT: subtract using place value

This is me proving that I can do the number line stratagy. The number line stratagy is a stratagy when you have a number line and you have a question to answer. For example, you have 45 jelly beans and you want to give 28 to your friend. Now you put the 45 on the end of the number line like this 

---------------------------------------45. Then you have to takeaway 2 big fries like this

---------------------------------------45 Now you have to takeaway 8 small fries like this

                                 uuuuuuuunn

---------------------------------------45 So you can see that you takeaway 2 tens = 25, then you takeaway 8=17. So the answer is 17.
