WALT: make an excellent post

am trying to make my posts interesting so an audience from the world will learn from my learning.

Here is my first draft of Kotahitanga.

The next thing I have to do is add some words.

Here is my 2nd draft.

Doesn't it look much better? The last thing to do is to add some detail. Let's see if I add some more words.

That adds a bit more detail rather than telling others what it means. It will also tell you how you can show Kotahitanga. So now you know that you can have lots of different drafts on your posts so you can make it better. When people give you feedback, they are not trying to be mean, they are trying to help you to improve to do a better job than your rubbishy first draft. I hope that you learned something. Remember, you don't only have one chance to do something, you have as many as you need.

I think you need to improve your picture by making it neater. By Rileigh-Kaye

Camp

I can't wait until it's march 18. Because I am going on camp! That will be fun! I will be doing all sorts of thing, e.g rock climbing. I won't be publishing on my blog until the 22 March.

New Words

I have made up three new words in BookTalsites today.

Submobile which means underway.

I lost the sheet for the other two so I will try find that ASAP.

Two Stars And One Wish Week 3

I am proud that I have used my time more effectily than last week because I wasn't sitting next to my friends. Instead, I was sitting next to people who would encourage me to keep my learning up.

I am also proud of my workshops and my timetable. I have got my timetable right and have been to every workshop this week. I am also proud of the quality that I have done in every single workshop.

My goal is to bring my device every single day because to be honest, on Thursday, I forgot my device on accident. I can help to not forget my device ever again by having a list of what I need to get prepared for because I am going to be needing loads of all sorts of things such as, my device and usually, I would remember this all, but since I now have so many things in my head, I can't remember it all.

The End.

WALT: read and respond to text

I read a story today about New Zealand planning to get a new flag. New Zealand is more in common with the Pacific than the United Kingdom. John Key is planning to have a black flag with a white silver fern on the flag. I think that changing the flag will be a good thing because the flag will explain a little bit more than the current flag because it has a small version of the United Kingdom's flag. Here is a link to the story.

Two Stars and a Wish

WALT: evaluate our learning honestly

I like having the ability to work anywhere in Poutama Block so I won't get distracted by blockers when I am trying to work hard. I also like having my own timetable by my side so I easily know when I have to go to a workshop and my timetable will help me to remember what time I have to go to a workshop, what teacher I go with and what I'll be doing. My wish is that I can use my time more effectily because I haven't published much on my blog this week and I keep getting distracted from my learning.

WALT: Set SMART Goals

SMART means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time - sensitive

My maths goal is to continue to learn all my times tables and learn more about statistics.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I only know my doubles so I want to learn more times tables. For example, my 8 times tables are a bit hard so I want to learn them and I don't know what statistics mean.
I will accomplish my goal by using + to work out a times tables problem.

Term 1 Reading Goals Book Talsies

My next Reading Goal for Term 1 is to use a range of strategies to get information and main ideas from a book. This is important because you have to use appropriate strategies for a different kinds of book.

I will achieve my goal by asking other successful readers what strategies they use and then practising them.

I will know I have achieved my goal because I will be able to use the strategies to talk about the big ideas in what I am reading

The Best Sleepover In The World!!!!!

In the weekend, I went to a sleepover... at my cousins House. His house is really cool. Did you know that you can make the couch a bed? Well you can. My cousin lives on a farm. My Uncle made a pond for the Ducks to live. My cousin has a lamb and the lamb thinks that its a cow. My Cousin lives in Awahuni. Awahuni is a small town 10cms away from Kopane and a few cms away from Palmerston North. That was the best sleepover Ever.

Here are the inscrutions to make the bed. Step 1... Take two of the couch pillows off. (Not the ones you put you head on). Step 2... Have a look at the two pillows you took off. There will be a black thing you need to unfold. Step 3... Unfold the black thingy. You will also need Muscles to lift the black thingy to make a bed. Step 4... you have a bed.
